I’m taking over 45n5′s MoneyLinks

Just kidding, but Mark has added this site to the Money Links section of 45n5.

Thanks Mark!

It kind of looks like we’re taking over, doesn’t it?

John Cow hacked?

If you head on over to John Cow’s site, you’ll see a ransom note for $100.00 or “the cow gets well done”.

I like my burgers well done, so chop chop, I’m in a hurry.

Pretty nice link bait if you ask me.

Clicking the Paypal button at the top takes you to a donate $1 page, made out to cownapper@johncow.com.

Okay, I’ll bite. Here’s a buck, cow.

Alexandru is keeping ShylockBlogging

Per his recent post, the webmaster of ShylockBlogging, Alexandru, has said that he’s not selling after all:

As you may know I got a BIN bid yesterday for this blog, of $4,000. I took it, but I?ve decided today not to go through with the sale. For starters, I specified PayPal or Western Union only as methods of payment, and the buyer wanted to do it with escrow.com (my country is not accepted by escrow.com). Second, I?ve been feeling remorse at selling it since I took the bid yesterday, and since this bid didn?t go through, I?m not going to reopen the auction.

I?m keeping the blog and I?ll deal with the busy period from January when I?ll get there. My original plan of having more subscribers then ProBlogger at some point (don?t go mental on me) is still standing, and I can?t wait to write again tomorrow ;) .

I?m working on a plan to get this blog to the next level, so stay tuned.

Was it all just linkbait?

A great tip for building mini-sites from 45n5

Mark over at 45n5 has a great tip for those of you who are using mini-sites as a means of generating online income.

Phenomenal video post, it is definitely worth checking out if you are looking to make money online in this fashion.

Please use his affiliate link for GoDaddy if you use his method, as any affiliate money he earns from this post is very well deserved.

Stay tuned

If you are just tuning in to New Blogger, thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your readership. As more and more content gets added to this site, it will grow.

Posts on making money online will be added shortly. I do make money online, and I am going to be sharing with you how I have accomplished that. Just know that none of the processes that I’m going to share with you are going to be overnight successes.

There is no real get rich quick way to make money online.

At the end of each month I will also be posting earnings for that month.

I want to keep you informed as to the changes that are coming for New Blogger.

Important domain info – please read

Shortly, you will notice that the content for this blog will be redirected to New Blogger. This goes the same for the RSS feed. I wanted to have a central source of information for blogging that had a name grounded in helping bloggers. I was never a fan of having a personal domain with blogging resources as it’s central theme.

I’ll be contacting Feedburner shortly to have the feeds combined. No worries, I’m still going to be writing the other site, so nothing will change in that respect. As a matter of fact, if you wish to head on over to New Blogger, please feel free to see the changes that I’ve already made.

Soon you will be automatically forwarded to the new domain and it will be like nothing happened.

Thank you for your readership, I greatly appreciate all of you. Please help me make New Blogger a growing success. Without my readers, this site is just my words going out in to the abyss known as cyberspace.

Revamping NewBlogger

I had to do it, gotta love lolcats.

The caption is true, I’m in your blog, taking over. Donovan has graciously allowed me to take the reigns on this blog and hone it into a fine resource of helpful tips and resources for new bloggers to
learn and make money online.

have a lot of plans for this blog and it will be continually be updated with new posts and ideas. Also, I’m in the process of installing the Top Commentators plugin (it was already installed), so that if you comment, you’ll be recognized. In the spirit of Pure Blogging, on Fridays, I will also be posting the top commentators and Stumbling their posts.

To keep New Blogger going, I will also be selling advertising on this blog. Please see my advertising page for more information on that. It will be very dirt cheap and you can use whatever anchor text you prefer.

If you have any questions, or you just want to say hello, please feel free to use my contact form and drop me a line. I respond to all emails within a timely fashion.

ScratchBack doesn’t scratch your back

What I am failing to understand here is what purpose having this widget on your blog serves?

My understanding is that you add the widget to your blog and people tip you and you add them to your top spots. But, the kicker is, ScratchBack keeps 10% of the tip. So, they are making a big fuss about giving you 90% of your own money during the beta phase.

Why do we need a service to advertise something in our sidebars? Why not advertise for yourself and keep 100% of the profits? As Kumiko would say, “Why would you want someone else profiting from your sidebar advertisements?”

Feedburner subscriber numbers drop

FeedBurner stats are off this morning, by a significant drop, and according to the FeedBurner blog, they should be readjusted by Monday morning:

If you saw your subscriber count drop precipitously in your Saturday, November 3rd summary from FeedBurner, the reason is that specific subscriber stats from Google Feedfetcher were offline because this service was apparently out late with friends on Friday night, and well, it completely slept through Saturday. It appears to have rallied, however, and amid firm declarations of “I’m never doing that again”, Feedfetcher has started diligently reporting subscriber numbers to us, early this morning Pacific Time. FeedBurner publishers’ subscriber counts should be closer to what you’d normally expect starting with reports that will be available on Monday morning.
