LinkRain is having a contest. You can win $50 by writing a review posting just like this one. Oh yeah and a backlink from a PR4 blog. How cool is that? All you have to do is link to them using the anchor text SEO blog. He doesn’t have a word limit and it doesn’t have to be good if you didn’t like the site.

He wants a review, eh? Well, a review is what I’ll give him.

First off, I found his blog through ContestBlogger. I must say, that after clicking over, the site reminds me a lot of John Chow’s blog. It’s the same theme. Now that everybody and their uncle has this theme, I think it’s time to retire it.

That’s all just the top coat. Let’s dig a little deeper. The reason I say that is because the contest is what matters the most, right? The first article I saw was the one related to this contest. It’s reminding me of John Chow’s linkbait, but that’s a good thing. John Chow makes a killing off the internet.

What grabbed me was the content (as well it should). I scrolled down to read this article about a good way to spend $400.00 and get a ton of backlinks. If I had $400.00 handy, that’s what I’d do. It’s a very informative article and it gives you specifics on what to search for and why. Great stuff, indeed.

What I clicked on next was the About Me page. There you can see a big green eye staring out at you. There is a little tidbit that explains what the blog is dedicated to.
