I have to wonder…
With all of the blogs out there asking the question, “What are the top five things you like about blogging?” or questions of that sort, it made me think.
We’re always saying what we like about blogging, naming off things like, ‘it’s the ability to be a part of the community’, ‘I want to be read’, and ‘to making extra cash online’.
It got me to wondering, what don’t you like about blogging?
I mean, what is it that bothers you about the blogosphere? No matter how big or small, something has to get your undies in a bunch.
My biggest pet peeve right now is the fact that people aren’t encouraging comments by following the do-follow movement. I love to hop around and read blogs and if I’ve found yours nifty enough to comment on it, then send on the link love. I do it for my readers.
I guess this sort of seems rather tit-for-tat, but I like it.
What’s your blogging pet peeve?

I guess my biggest blogging pet peeve is lurkers and them not commenting. Just say hi. That’s not too much to ask for ya know
Lurkers here and there are ok, but when people come back over and over, I just want them to give a short hello.
I agree, Sassy. It sucks to see your sitemeter show all these numbers of visitors and then to see no comments. But, on the bright side, we’re being read
True. I guess I like attention
I’m right there with you on being annoyed as all get out about the bloggers who are actually strongly against the DoFollow movement. It all comes down to selfishness and caah, and it amazingly deteriorates the community aspect of blogging. Making money online is actually EASIER with a static site and not a blog, so this sudden movement toward kids hoaring one-way links is insane.
My personal pet peeve is reading a blog that has a lot of paid postings without *quality* content inbetween. I am ALL FOR getting compensated to blog, seriously. It benefits the blogger, the advertiser and the readers. BUT, in between posts about diet pills and budgeting software, I don’t want to see a 50 word post about how bored someone is feeling or how they love their cat. Put some peraonality, detail and hear into it.
I don’t like it when bloggers are just in it for the cash…and they have no shame about it either. They just call it evil, and that makes it okay. It’s not. I don’t like it either when you find a site that is just comprised of nothing but paid posts. You can usually tell these creeps apart from the good bloggers. I love the funny ones, too.
