Use big pictures
The use of a picture alone may say a thousand words, but the use of an image or two with some meaningful content draws the reader in.
Think of it like this: Playboy is a very popular gentleman’s magazine, and sure the guys read the content, but it’s a proven fact that they are drawn to the pictures.
Case in point: If you’ve found a blog that is all about content, content, content (which is great), but there aren’t any pictures, it becomes sort of tedious to read. Trust me on this.
Add larger sized pictures to your blog, it breaks up the “book feeling” of your blog and gives the readers’ eyes a much needed break. Thus, they can concentrate on anything else you may have to say.
Pictures added to your blog help to illustrate a point that you are trying to make. If someone posted a story on Paris Hilton whining and crying because she got sent back to jail, you’d read a quick snippet of it and move on. But, if there’s a picture provided, you get to see the heiress’ crocodile tears in action.
See what I mean?

Good points, I would have liked a big picture to help me understand them though
LOL you’re killin’ me
That’s exactly why I went back and took my IKEA charge’s 5 cent picture. The story isn’t as good without the picture.
Agreed, Neo, I had to click over and read the article on your site, instead of just reading it in Bloglines.
I agree. That’s about it.

Few words. No pictures. My apologies.
I like a good photo when I am reading someone else’s blog. I need to remember to add more pictures to my OWN blog entries. I was going well on one of my blogs for a few weeks and then just got lazy.
