No overnight millions here
So, don’t quit your day job. In the real world, you’ll have to stick with blogging for quite some time before you start seeing a steady income. If you’re in it for the cash, then maybe you’re in the wrong business.
It’s a common misconception that you can make a ton of money online, quick. You are better off in blogging if you are in it for the fun or for outlet purposes. This is a fun thing to use some free time that you have. Or, if you’re a more serious blogger, you schedule it in your day.
If you’ve come to find that blogging is fun and/or addictive and enjoy it a lot, then you’ll get readership. If you are having fun with your blog and are having fun writing the content, it will show.
If you build it, they will come.
Blogging isn’t always easy, but some of the content should come to you with ease, if you’re writing about something that you’re passionate about.
This is not a get rich quick, nor a pyramid scheme. It’s a community game. By that I mean that you have to have entertaining content for a wide readership and you have to engage your readers. Ask questions! Get some feedback.
Ask for it! Demand it! But, have fun with it!

I totally agree with you, although I do make money with my blog, the main reason why I blog is to get my thoughts “on paper”, and, well, a lot of my “blogging income” comes from writing or design gigs I got “because” of my blog.
“If you build it, they will come” – yep, totally, just gotta market effectively, a blog is a sample of your brand (as David Armano would say)
Great comment Jonathan, I’m on the move to making money with this blog…hopefully if I continue to build it, it will come. But that’s not why I do it, by any means….I do it because it’s fun and I love to be read.
Same for me! And you can consider your blog read!
yeah, unless you’re Paris Hilton or blogging about her, it’s quite hard to make money I think.
Jonathan, thanks, I read yours as well…a nifty source of some good information over there
Chee, she’s in a whole mess o’ trouble, now…I don’t feel for her….lol
That’s the beauty of blogging…have personal touch. however, it would be better, if blogging also use SEO strategy. unfortunately, mostly the blog i seen trap into duplicate content.
I 100% agree with u.
