What I’ve gotten from blogging

Besides the cool Upstage phone from Sprint, the Type O Negative CD, and the sweet smelling perfume, 3121, that I received recently from Prince’s people, I’ve gotten a lot from blogging.

Not just material stuff, either.

I’ve grown into my own voice and my own personality. I have found that I have a lot to say and how to say it is just as important. I’ve learned to be a better blogger and provide my readers with useful content. I try to aspire to inform my readers as much as possible. I love blogging and I hope it shows.

I try not to just give my readers snippets, in lieu of real content, or facts. I don’t litter my pages with a lot of ads and I try to keep my sites as readable as possible. I do that because I don’t want to visit my favorite sites and see a bunch of junk, either. All of this I do in between my regular 12-9 job. I’m not going to tell you what I do, either. That just makes people give that “huh, really?” look:

Also, I aspire to learn from other bloggers and readers alike. I want to build a community for learning as well as teaching new bloggers the ropes. I want feedback. Talk to me, email me, I’ll listen. I’ll also give you my feedback and quite possibly subscribe to your feed.So, I’ll leave you with this question, what have you gotten from blogging?
